Hip-Hop History:
The original Wu-Tang symbol was intended to represent the famous saying: “Protect Ya Neck” . Mathematics, the group’s producer created the logo featuring the ” W” holding a severed head. However, upon seeing it for the first time, the rap group agreed it was a little too much. Under pressure for a deadline to have stickers printed, the group decided to go with the logo that we know of today.

Wu-Tang Clan and Mathematics have confirmed a new album in the making. It is set to be released on April 12th: Black Samson, The B*stard Swordsman: Wu-Tang, The Saga Continues. Inspired by and paying homage to Blaxploitation movies, it will be interesting to see the public’s reaction to the new Wu-Tang tracks.

It’s also been announced that the group will go on their final tour together this year. The “Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber” tour will begin on June 6th in Baltimore and end on July 18th in Philadelphia. Whether this is truly their final appearances together or an ingenious marketing strategy, we hope the tour will live up to the hype it will surely generate.
